Oscar tankmate with other smaller Cichlid

I just got a 75 gallon and decided I would love an oscar. While trying to decide if I wanted smaller cichlid, I saw a picture of an Altolamprologus calvus (black) on Cichlid-forum.com and love it too.

Would I be able to put one or two Altolamprologus calvus (black), with an oscar (the tank with also have an aggressive pictus catfish) in a 75 gallon??

http://www.cichlid-forum.com/profile...es.php?id=1578

The water conditions are oppsite so I am guessing not, but what about Blue Acara, Port Cichlid (which are the same as Brown Acara and Port Acara) or maybe a Steiney?

I would want one oscar, one pitcus, and one other fish (I am not tanking about getting one of other one I listed above)...but would the tank be overstocked with the 3 fish in total? What would be the best? Also would I be able to add a med (one that at adult size would not get over 5 inch) algea eater down the line if I needed one?

Thanks!

I would not recommend mixing an oscar and a calvus.
Calvus are shyer fish and require very different water conditions from oscars and pictus.

The acaras and ports are smaller than oscars and if purchased at the usual size they are sold in shop at, food for the pictus.

For a 75, you will have fewer problems if you stick with just the oscar and the pictus.
