Quick Expansion

WOW! Our 40g tank is our newest addition. We added this tank at the end of October as a birthday present for my husband. Originally we were going to get piranha, but later changed our minds and settled on an Oscar and a JD.

I knew from the onset that eventually we would need to upgrade Oscar to a larger tank, which we have on order from Santa (120g). Anyway, I knew that Oscars grew quickly, but I am actually amazed at his rate of growth.

He was barely 2 inches when we got him, and Id say hes about 4.5 already. I read someplace that they will grow to 6 inches in the first year, but I dont think I really got it, till now.

YIKES...

I think so Susitna... But I think my Santa is more excited about getting the 120g than I am!! Of course, thats because we are upgrading all "his" yucky fish to that tank.

I am totally excited too, because as we move the monsters out, I get to restock the 40g! YAY!! But, its going to be a mad shuffle. The 40g fish are going to the 120g, and the 20g fish are going to the 40g and the 20g is getting a new breeding set of swords.

But I am looking forward to all the changes. I am also looking forward to aquascaping the 120g. I just recently redecorated our 26g (three days ago). Ill post pictures as soon as I get a decent one.

Anywho... now that this is thread is way off topic... Let me just say I am not really looking forward to seeing the size of this beast when hes fully grown. My husband loves him tho ... So I guess thats what most important...

whispering... But, between you and me.... EWE.
