should i get a elephant nose

i saw those elephant nose fish today in my LFS on sale for $9 and i want to get 1, but i've heard they can grow very large and are difficult to keep. so how hard is it to keep elephant nose? btw, my tank is 35gallon, fully cycled, and i'm experienced

I wouldn't keep one in a 35 gal. From what I've read, they need 75 gal.

Hi riftlaker, I have an adult elephant nose in a 100gal with other oddballs and to me he seems easy to keep but my tank was cycled for months before I actually got him. And they do need a minimum 75gal.

Whoa! That is a cool fish at a good price. They don't need a big space compared to some of the fish I want. I think what the other members are trying to say is "sorry but you don't have enough space". No one said no so...no.

Hello RiftLaker. Good information above. If you would be so kind as to fill out your aquarium information it will really help others to help you more down the road. Go to the top left hand side of this screen and click on My Settings, then in the drop down box click on Edit Aquarium Info.
