I have recently moved my tyre track eel to anothertank after I started notices 1 less glowlight tetra each day!!! Anyway its day 2 in his new tank and he was nowhere to be found. After an hour of searching, I saw his pointy nose sticking out in betwen the bio balls, HE GOT INTO THE FILTER!!! It is a home made filter where the water gets sucked under the glass square in the corner and goes through three compartments. (1) Narrow, about 4cmX7cm heater (2) Filter material(Bio balls and sponges) 10cmX7cm. (3) powerheadsucks left over water and pushes it back into the tank My eel has gone into both compartment 1 and 2. He is about 15cm long. How long can he stay there?and if he got in surely he can get out? There is plenty of food going in. Should Ijust leave him in there because Im afraid if I try to take him out he might try to jump out and it could injure him. It has happened before but nothing serious.

Thanks, He seems happy though. He likes hiding in between sponges and bio balls, warm water as well as food flows through there so he probably DOESNT want to come out. After all my worrying!!
