Oddball for a 32 gal Semi-Agressive tank.

Hi All,

So, I'm working, very slowly, on my 32g Semi-Agressive tank. At the mo, I have 5 Tiger Barbs in it, I will be upping this number to 10 soon. I would like an oddball for the tank aswell, but have no idea what to go for; there is just so much out there!

Idealy, it would be a fish that could hold its own against the barbs, active, and easy enough to keep, prob around the 5 inch mark too.

I would just love something off the beaten track, you know?

Also, best smily ever!!

WELCOME TO FISHLORE!

Maybe an elephantnose fish? Or a shoal of 4 Blind Cave Fish would be tough enough against your barbs.

I would not suggest elephantnose for anything but a large, specialized setup, as they are difficult to keep and prefer to be in groups.

I think a rainbow shark and 4 yo yo loaches would be perfect for your setup. You wouldn't want to add them all at once, of course. My rainbow shark is nearing 6 inches or so now, never hides, and is very active. Also, it is a great scavenger and will even eat some algae.
If you don't like yo yo loaches, there are other species in that size range that should do quite well in that setup.
