There are some puffers that are exclusivly freshwater, here is a link:

Most do require a tank of 100+ gallons though, and I wouldn't want to price them because they are hard to get your hands on. I was checking out a Tetraodon mbu and it was 100$ and very small at the time.

The first is too large for a 55 gal. The others may be okay.

From that list I like these two the best:
(their not in order well yes just size order)

From these two which ones less likely to hide? Which ones more likely to move around from time to time? and where would I get these?

Cichlids don't tend to hide.
I'm not sure where you could get them. As I said before, the fish you are looking at are not readily available.

Well, that's the hard part of owning an oddball fish. Usually they aren't very common.

I think I like this one best because it looks like a mafia leader xD

and it looks majestic yet powerful O: but is this fish? Like is this maximum size will it be okay in a 55g? and if so. What substrate shoiuld I use? I know I can use plants with these or so it says. <3 I found my perfect fish <3 its rounded to a point its long and it has those cichlid lips <3 (the really thick ones) and even if its sedentary because it is a cichlid it wo nt be hiding thats the actual problem I dont mind if it sits down more I just want it to be less shy. O: Is there a specific name for it? like common name?
