Ecuardian water/(mud?) cow

Sorry for butchering the name but anyone have one of these guys?
Petland has one for sale and I love it! I just don't know much about it... anyone here with experience?

Never heard of it. Well, depending on stocking rule, maybe somewhere in the range of 55-75 gallon.

gonna need bigger than that.

75 would be calling it minimum at full grown, as it's 18" wide. He'd have 1/2" on both sides basically to turn around if he was mid tank or 1" if he was hugging a wall. A 20-24" wide tank would be much 'nicer'.

... More non-std tanks... Alright
I suppose I could get a 100 gal... but what would be big enough to not get eaten....

Hmmm... back to tank size again...
He doesn't look like a fish that would jump to me... would a hard pond liner work? and from a straight gallonage point of view how much would he need?
