I'm not sure where to post this so hopefully this is a good place. I have a black ghost knife that is a bit over four years old, 8 1/2 in long. As he gets bigger, I buy him a bigger cave. Well, he's finanlly at the point where my local pet store doesn't carry a cave big enough for him. He refuses to use the plastic pipes, even if they are not see through. I tried searching stores on-line, but could only find smaller decorative caves. Someone at the store mentioned I could balance rocks to make a cave, but I'm worried about them falling and crushing him.

For other BGK owners, what did you do for a bigger cave? Did you buy it, balance rocks, or some other option? Thanks!!

PVC pipe works great...sterilize it and sillicone some plants and rocks to it

Thank you for the reply Shawnie. I've tried pipe in the past but he's never liked it. He would pick lying on the gravel over the pipe and seems to really like caves better. It's been a few years, so maybe he might give it a go this time around.

he will eventually if he has nothing else...you can even put some plant matter on the inside as well as outside to make him feel better....goodluck either way!!
