i just had 2 nee spiny eels jump out of my tank within 24 hours of being in the tank

so make sure there are no openings at the top of your tank. As for feeding, with my old eel he would eat live worms only, he had a munch on a couple of frozen blood worms but not really. It prob will eat flakes and left overs if hungry, but that wont get it the nutrition it needs. If you feed it live worms, eventually it will come out and eat from your hand which is cool, i got to that stage with my first one, but then my shark killed it. They are very peacefull, it didnt even look twice at my tetras or anything else for that matter. I want another one but i cant until i sort out my kuhli loach babies because i cant seal the tank properly and learnt the hard way. So seal your tank and live worms is my recommendation. Good luck with it!!!!
