Leaf Fish

Hey all. So I added a Leaf fish to my stock yesterday. It's a pretty cool looking fish. It's black with white dots all over it. I didn't see anything on this site about them so I was hoping some of you could give me some info. about them. Anything will help. Thanks!

Sounds interesting. What other fish do you have in the tank with it, hope their all bigger. The profile says it will eat small fish.

I have 5 glowlight tetras, 4 rummynose tetras, and 4 cherry barbs. All much bigger lol. Mine looks more like this...but with black instead of brown: http://aqualandpetsplus.com/Oddbal1286.jpg

Great...this is what I get for buying a fish before doing research. I'm not feeding this thing live food. I'll take it back lol.

But this is its meal. Maybe it eats dried shrimp.

They feed them flakes and freeze dried foods at the LFS.

I've definitely heard of them taking frozen bloodworms at the very least

I still think I'm taking it back...It's not an active fish, and I've done some looking around on here and the web and found a fish that I love!!

i think if you could hold onto it for a while and get a larger tank, that and another leaf fish would make a terrific species tank

I have a leaf fish and yesterday he ate my $15 New femail Apistogramma. When he was small he was fine. Now he is about 2.5-3 inches and became aggressive & also hogs all the food. I am going to return him this week.
