My 2 Dusky Panther Gobies seem bored. What can I do to liven up their day?

Well, the title pretty much says it. I own 2 Dusky Panther Gobies. And as good as I am with fish. I still think that they look a bit bored in their tank. Its pleaty big enough. being 55 gallons. And I feed them blood worms and live shrimp. Anything else I can do? Or Are they just naturally like this? (im having a hard time finding info on them).

I just did some research - a lot of fish don't acctualy do much activity. It's just how some fish are: unactive. DFS list them as brackish fish, so it may be a good idea to try and find out what salinity they are comfortable with.

BTW your clown loaches will outgrow a 55gal.

Hatchet hit the nail on the head. They may be getting tired due to lack of salinity. It creates osmotic stress, which makes the body work harder to transfer nutrients around the body as needed.

Fish don't get bored, there is probably something not right in their environment if they are not moving around as they should.

Welcome to FishLore!
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but the Clown Loaches will not like the salt at all so now would be a good time to transfer them to another tank.

I did that before I put the salt in. dont worry, i try to think things over. ive moved the clowns loaches to a 90 gallon tank, where they will live together with the native ghost shrimp colony.

Excellent. The aquarium salt is okay for now, but I suggest getting marine salt. Aquarium salt is formulated to be medicinal, while marine salt is made to mimic a more natural ocean salt. They've got different trace mineral levels. Just mix the marine salt at a fraction of the amount you would use to make full saltwater (I usually do a tablespoon for every two to five gallons of water I'm changing). Unlike saltwater tanks, brackish tanks generally don't need a super stable salinity, as brackish fish are used to minor changes in salinity.

And excellent job moving the loaches before including the salt.

alright, ill purchase some marine salt in a couple days or so, anyway. The Gobies have really livened up. I can hand feed them now! the love live ghost
shrimp from the other tank, and sometimes they'll even steal some flakes that I use for the sharks. I'm gonna try live blood worms too in a week or so to see if the sharks like it. Ive already learned that their species can eat it, so we'll see.
Oh, and the loaches say hi. I think I'm gonna put a plecostumus in their tank to keep it clean. but im not sure.

i bet theyll like live bloodworms rather then the freeze dries ones they already get. gives 'em something to chase! or, at least pretend to chase. I dont think their that fast of worms.

Algae eating fish don't do much for algae - what stops it is good nutrient control! For algae eating plecos, I find Bristlenose plecos are better algae eaters than commons.
