I have had them in the past.
They get to be around 3 cm some up to 6 cm
The eggs will be laid on the underside of leaves. So make sure you have some plants in there if you plan on breeding. It is the males that gaurd the eggs there after, so it is a good idea to remove other males. Once the eggs hatch and the fry scatter the males get very hungry, so remove them.
Also, to be small fish they are very active. The males display there colors toward one another and the loser swims away fastly so make sure your tank is big enough for him to find a spot to hide.
Most of these pygmys are too small to be considered game fish, thats why they are sold on the aquaria market. In most LFSs they are even migrated in from the wild, although they adapt to tank life pretty easily it is a good idea to feed them freeze dried worms because i have found few that do well on flakes.
