Tetra Tank Questions

i currently have 2 neon tetras in a 1.5 gallon tank. is this too small? or could i add another or?? also in many other articles i have read they say that tetras typically stay between the middle and bottom of the tank... well my little baby Happy Chef, stays between middle and top typically. is there some thing wrong? thnx, Miley

Re: What would be ok?

You already have this posted on another thread. I am going to combine the two if you do not mind.

There are NO appropriate Tropical Fish INCLUDING Bettas for a 1.5 gallon tank. Even Bettas need 5 gallons. They need heat and filtration as well as they are Tropical Fish as much as any of the others. The fish stores are WRONG when they say that Bettas can live in those little containers and bowls.

Get a snail or ghost shrimp.

Re: Tetra Tank Questions

No rose is correct, 1.5 gallons is too small for all fish. Mystery snail would be ok along with two ghost shrimp and certain other ones. Danio's get 2+" and need six others to be happy. sorry
