my neon is dying...

One of my 4 neons is sick. yesterday he had his tailfin nipped and wasnt swimming much but he seemed ok. now he has dis coloration on his tail and up one side. he trys to swim but his back half is floating. i dont kno what to do.

well his orange streak has spread over his whole tail but is a very dull orange. he has turned gray up his left side thou.

I deleted your duplicate thread, it's only necessary to start one thread for an issue.

It would be helpful to the other members to know that you lost one yesterday also.
Is this one showing the same symptoms as the one you lost?
I wonder if it's neon tetra disease (parasitic)or False Neon tetra disease (bacterial).
They have the same symptoms and the only way to really tell the difference is FNT will respond to anti bacterial meds.
Unfortunatly NTD is highly contageous and usually won't respond to meds.

Sounds like you might have gotten a bad batch. How do the others look?

the others look fine. the first one i lost out of the blue. he showed no symptoms and looked normal when i found him. his tail fin is severly damaged but it dosnt look nipped. i can try to.

Poor little guy. He lost all his blue? Is he orange like the pic shows (no red?)
Was he like that when you bought him?
At this point, it would be a good idea to put him in a quarentine tank (heated filtered)

The other ones in the 2nd pic look pretty good.
What are the 3 fish behind the neons?

they're all neons. he still has some on his right side but its gone on his left. he looked like the others when i got him.

its a reflection. i only have 4 total

Oh, lol, ok.
Not knowing exactly whats wrong, he should be Q'd. Not only for the sake of your remaining fish but for his protection also, so he doesn't get picked on.
