Neon tetra disease or no?

One of my little neons has turned almost completely white. Now pretty much the only color he has are the blue and red stripes. But even the red is starting to disappear. He is still eating, he's actually more excited about food then the rest of them. And he is swimming normally and staying with the school and no one is trying to kill him or keep him away. So why is he turning white? He really isn't showing any signs of NTD except for the white body. But I read that if a fish gets to that point hes going to die soon and he really doesn't seem like that at all. Has he decided to turn albino on me or is he preparing to be a ghost for Halloween?

I would quarantine him asap, so that if it is NTS your other guys won't get it. Good luck

My water parameters are 0.0 ammonia, the pH is at 6.4. And he has been white for over a month now without any changes in behavior.

Well he's in there with 4 other neons, 7 zebra danios, an oto and a rainbow shark. The only one I'm really worried about is the shark, but he only seems to notice the danios. He ignores the oto and seems to tolerate the neons. I never seen him show any kind of violance towards the neons, even when they invade one of his caves. Plus if they were being terrorized then wouldn't they all turn white? So far only one of em has.

I guess I'll quarantine him and see what happens. I just hope he won't die from the stress and loneliness of being quarantined. Thanks for the advice everybody. I'll keep you updated.
