I was siphoning my tank this morning and looked over for a sec and looked back and my neon was getting sucked up the hose, and he was trying to swim out so i put my thumb on the other end of the hose and he shot out of there. close calll...

I hope he is okay after his scare! My neons run like, well you know..., when I put the vacuum in the tank.

Lol, one of my cherries does that all the time! Its like a game to him. He chases the tube all over the tank when I'm moving around trying to clean... I cant look away for one second without him swimming in the tube.

Haha, that sounds funny. Probably would've been better to slowly squeeze the hose instead of putting your thumb over the end.

I haven't had that problem. I'd probably freak out if it happened. The other night my daughter swore one of the baby mollies got up into the tube of the python. Turns out it was some stuff from the gravel.

I use a python but I don't get a real strong suction with it...I have so many baby gups in my tank and am always getting them in the python....they just swin against the current untill I notice and then I close the valve to stop the flow and they swim out...lol

My Guppies do that.. they chase the siphon and the " babbies" are so small that I have to be relly careful not to suck them up!
