Can I put 3 neons in a ten gallon with my platy fry? (the fry are a week old)

the neons would have to be considerably small, but I wouldn't reccomend it

probaly both. how big is the tank, how big are the fry (estimate in inches " )

the tank is a ten gallon...as mentioned and the fry that are in it now are about 1/3 to half an inch OR 1/2 and inch to 2/3 an inch. and the neons are like and inch.

yea, i can give the neons to my friend who got a new 20g. otherwise i'll put the neons in my 10g with the platies. i''m using the 10g for the fry because i want to raise them until they are 3-5 months old so i can sell them, so it shouldn't be much of a problem. that tank is next to my sink so i can make much more frequent water changes.

you could put them in with eachother once there bigger but i would go out and buy a breeding net for the first few weeks. maybe dim the lights over the breeder net because fry are very sensitive to light and can die from it if there is too much.

it could work i mean there is only three and i dont think there should be a problem.

okay thanks guys! thats what i was doing(putting them in the breeder net until they were big enough to not fit in the neon mouths)
