hi, i just got a dozen neons... they're not huge yet or anything, but i was wondering if it's possible to sex them and how old (big) they are when they're mature...

the reason i ask is because on some it seems almost as though 'eggs' are visible... much like they are in a shrimp. this is visible on many of the plumper ones, and very localized... not at all like any diseases i've seen. i suppose i could try a picture, but i doubt that what i'm talking about would come thru.

Adult size would be about 1.5in. The female is generally stockier, rounder, i think.
