I made this thread a couple weeks ago, but it got deleted when the forum was being worked on.

A few weeks ago at my local Barnes & Noble I came across the latest issue of Aquarium Fish International. The beautiful picture on the cover really caught my attention. It was labled "Veilfinned Neon".
I read the article and came to find out that some breeder managed to bring back the veilfin neon through some tough breeding and complicated genetics. (I'm guessing they weren't too uncommon in the past?) The magazine said that they would try and breed more of these gorgeous fish so that they can eventually be sold in stores.

Yea I receive that magazine and loved the fish the minute I saw the article. The two fish that he started the breeding with have amazing finnage. Its so thick its almost like a betta.

I don't think it's a cross. It's more of a selective breeding/genetic crossing process of regular neons.
