We had a school of 16 neons. We are now down to 6. They developed a white spot wear the base of their tail. They began to lose their color, got small black dots on their body, and they began to become thin and eventually die.

All tank utensils (nets, hoses, but NOT the tank itself) needs to be cleaned with a concentrated solution of potassium permanganate. And of course washing your hands with a strong natural/organic soap after using potassium permanganate, and dealing with the infected tank.
