If your tank just finished cycling, then adding that many fish so quickly it could reall mess with your tank.

I'm sorry but what do you mean by that? have you been cycling using products?

Re: FISHIES!

ive been adding pure ammonia daily to start the cycle. once ammonia and nitrites were at 0 and nitrates were at about 20, i would add more and more ammonia each day, increasing the ammont of ammonia and nitrites that could be broken down each day.

Re: FISHIES!

since you cycled using that method, you're good to go. the ammonia you added is way more than the fish will produce, so you have more than enough bacteria already.

however, if you cycle with most other methods, you should go slowly when you add fish.

Re: FISHIES!

your fish should be fine, since your done it the product way.
but i always believe to keep it as natural as u can. fish like the amount they produce and no alot more. but yes it takes alot more time the old fashioned way of adding fish slowly and the most hardy come first of course.
i would love to hear how they go.
