| I am no salt guy, but I love fire fish and i think that one of them works fine in a 5 gallon, or you could go classic and do a cool clown fish. |

| personally, I wouldn't put any fish in a 5 gallon. You could make it an invertebrate reef. |

| I second that ATP.
You could have a shrimp or crab and a few corals. |

i really ned the help ifall of you who view this could help....45 or so views 6 answers? i could use some help but if you cant it ok Hello. I've merged your two threads to save some space. Have patience We have a lot more of fresh water members than we do salt members. Don't forget there is an "edit" key at the bottom of every post for corrections and additional thoughts if there are no responses.
Thanks!

I would go no bigger than 2.5 inch fish. You could try a clown goby or something like that. You might be able to put two, but you have to check them and make sure they are not getting stressed. You could have a couple of fire shrimp with a sun coral or something like that.
I have a 5.5 gallon tank that I used to see how well playsand does in saltwater tanks. I have a blue damsel in the tank and he seems to be doing fine. The tank has been up and running around 4 months now. I tried two damsels but they were fitting too much, thus I took one out. Last edited by locoyo386; October 27th, 2009 at 07:07 PM.

| Nothing much really, except snails and crabs. I have a thread with the same question but with a 6.6, a couple of members suggested gobys |

| You could try a small reef tank. With soft corals and maybe zoanthid species. Once your tank matures you could place a reef safe urchin as centerpiece.
Or you could set up a wonderful refugium-like tank. Raising small crustaceans and macro algae.
If there are viable options for SW fish I would like to know.
An experienced keeper could keep dwarf Seahorses in it. Feeding them would require a somewhat complex set up.

| Duplicate Threads Hello Josh. I have merged your two threads. Only one thread per topic is required. People that have the answers to your questions will respond in due time. Please be patient. Creating duplicate threads only confuses other members.
Thanks!

| No chromis or clowns in a 5 gallon IMO. The only thing I'd keep in a 5 is a clown goby. |

| Some live rock and a shrimp. 5 gallons is not big enough for marine fish. Maybe a molly. |

| Mollies are much more active swimmers than clown gobies. Clown gobies do well in nano tanks IME. |
