hey guys, i got this idea from a police officer at his office, he has a 2 gallon saltwater tank that houses a mantis shrimp!

i'm trying to do the same thing as well, so i got a 2 gallon tank cycling with a yellow tailed damsel!

any tips or suggestions? i'm trying to house a mantis shrimp as well.

Nap, I am completely ignorant about saltwater tanks, and I don't know of anyone here who has saltwater knowledge. However, I do have friends on other boards I frequent who might have some answers. Let me see what I can find out for you!

hey, i got the email reply & i brought the damsel back & now am cycling the live rock. the last thing i want is a fish to die! but i think it's a good idea. i am using an acrylic & got the idea from here. thanks!

Nap, I'm so glad you took that reply constructively! Those folks really know their tanks and can be quite blunt on how they feel about certain things when it comes to their tanks. Although I really know nothing about saltwater tanks, I do know that the smaller the tank, the harder it is to keep it stable, so with a 2 gallon tank, you are gonna be busy. Just take it slowly, learn as much as you can, and hopefully the outcome will be fantastic!
