What is a pico tank?

Typically any saltwater tank that is less than 5 gallons is considered a pico. Over 5 gallons and under 55 gallons is typically considered a nano. Then you don't really get a classification till you start breaking 180 gallon tanks. 180 gallon and larger is just called huge.

huge...lol...i found a thread that you started when you were working on a pico...thats why i asked. i've been researching more and people go all out when they build one. I never imagined that you'd be able to get a pump inside a 4 or 5 gallon tank...but now see that they make mini pumps

I had a maxi-jet 400 in that 2.5 for a bit but that was way overkill. :P Most people with those tiny tanks get their flow from something like an Aquaclear 30 HOB filter and then modify the filter to be a refugium.

so it sounds like i'll have to do make some modifications to the eclipse tank if i am going to make it work
