My 10g FOWLR

I haven't posted much on here, but I would like to get your opinions on my nano SW tank. The tank is a 10g with about 17 pounds of LR and 20 pounds of LS. Currently stocked with a blue leg hermit crab and a margarita snail. The tank has been running about a month now. I just bought the margarita snail today under the impression it was an astrea snail. Is the type of snail I bought going to be okay in a 10g?

Wow, how did you fit 20 pounds of LS and 17 pounds of LR into that? I have 14 in mine and 7 pounds of LS and it looks nearly crammed with a the LR running along the back wall and on one of the sides. I'd love to see pictures.

Very nice, I like your rock layout. Your sand bed is much much deeper than mine is. It's amazing how much other people manage to put in theres. Here is mine that I just rescaped the rock on. There is only 14 pounds of LR in there.

good start travie!!! the more sand the better. over time the sand crushes down and acts half way like a refugium, plus more room for bacteria. as far as the snail gos. it will be perfect for your tank. as long is there is algae for it to eat. they dont harm corals, or anything else

Any suggestions on a single fish for my 10g? I'm not sure on a fish yet. I will only put one fish in my 10g along with my inverts. I'm not going to put a clown into a 10g. I'll wait till I upgrade to a 29g or 55g for clowns. Any and all suggestions will be considered if I can obtain them at an LFS. Thank you.

What I did was go over to liveaquaria.com and looked at their nano section under marine fish to get an idea of what fish I could keep and general price ranges on them.

I guess, I as mainly asking for a recommendation of what fish I should get out of the few that can go in a 10g.

I guess you can go a lot of ways with that. There are actually quite a few types of smaller fish that could potentially be kept in a 10 gallon. What would be suggested to you depends on the behaviors you are potentially looking for in the fish. There are some that swim a lot and look good while others will make burrows in the sand and rarely stray very far from their burrow.
