Well, now wouldn't ya know it. After going round and round about what tank, filter, rock etc etc to get for a freshwater tank, I decided last minute to get a small SW Tank. I really wanted salewater all along, but just couldn't make the mental leap to spend the extra $$. There's a really good LFS in town that helped me get into a an AquaPod 24. In the end I spent about twice what I was going to spend on a 48.

Got it set up and running last night.
So far.
AquaPod 24
13lbs live rock
30lbs live sand
~18gal filtered natural sea water
Initial stock will be:
3 Blue Cromis
Clean Up Crew:
5 Hermit Crabs
1 Snale
Tank is up and running and looks great (pictures to come, to be sure).
For those who are familiar with this size tank, what else should I put on it? Protien Skimmer?
I would like to add a couple of bubble stones. I really like the look of bubbles in a tank. Even if just a trickle of bubbles. Anyone see any specific issues with this idea. What I was thinking was to pop a couple of holes in the back of the tank, (the filter area) below the sand line, just big eough for air hose. Then run the hose down the inside of the filter area near pump then out into the main area of the tank below the sand line to hide the hose.
Thoughts?
