Some Input needed

As most of you know we have the 90 SW reef tank and that is doing WONDERFUL.

I am thinking of doing a 10 or 20 long FOWLR setup. I have 3 reasons for getting my own SW tank

1) I can't put the fish I would like in there. The fish I want are way to shy for it. I like Firefish, red and purple kind, a goby and shrimp pair, and jawfish. No all of them are not going in the tank, just one of them from the list above.

2)I would like to have my own cleaner shrimp. If you saw my mom post about me putting my hand in the 90 you know way I want my own.

3) I would only have to buy about $150 worth of stuff, not counting fish,to set it up very nicely.

So the thing I want to know is...

1)What is a good skimmer for that size of tank? I am looking at the nano one that DFS has.
2) How long would it take to cycle with LS and base rock?
3) and any other thinks that you can think of that I would need to set it up right.

Thanks and if you have any other fish ideas post them I am open to them.

1) I have two nano tanks, a standard 10 gallon and a Oceanic 14 bio cube. Neither of them have skimmers on them and are doing wonderfully. The best bet with smaller SW setups is regular water changes. Approx 10-15 % weekly.
2) It depends on if the rock is semi-cured, cured or uncured. My Bio Cube took 4 weeks with uncured rock, the 10 gallon was 10 days
3) Consider turning an old HOB filter into a fuge, this adds more filtration, more water movement and is always nice to have on any marine setup.

Hope this helps,
Randi
