Hello All,

I am in the process of building a custom 6G corner aquarium. During my research I went through many web pages to find a glass thickness calculator. I've found some charts and graphs, but not many actual calculators. Then I came across this webpage and found the formula used to calculate the thickness.

Credit is to be given to Warren Stillwell for writing this article and I'd like to thank him for his permission to post this on the FishLore. Warren is not a memeber of FishLore, but I did mention the site to him and maybe he will grace us with his presence. It's a little detailed and at first may seem complicated, but take your time and work it out slowly.

I plan to upload an excel based spreadsheet that will have user inputs and work out the formula for you and give a simple output. This will take a little time as I want my resident engineer at my office to review it and I will also send it to Warren for his review.

Updated to add the Excel based calculator. If anyone has trouble understanding it or comments to make it a little more understandable, send me comments and I'll change it.
