Is my anemone dyeing?

So I got an anemone and it was doing well for about 2weeks now the tentacles seem to be shrinking and there is white waivey things at the end of it. Is it dying or can I still salvage it? They are also small and some are fat on the bottom and skinny and small on the top.. or vice versa. Can anyone help?

Have you feed him yet? Sometimes they hold food that way and when there ready theyeat whats on there tenecles. usually when an anenome starts to die you will see the mouth start to unfold when this starts happening there's not much you can do. I used to feed my anenome fresh brine shrimp with a turkey baster, Unless you have a clown fish they will feed him too. good luck!

Yes I have feed it. But these ones just stay down. the rest looks good just a few arms on the side of it. It is normal for them to shrink when lights go out and then expand when the light comes back on correct?

Sorry I am new to this site so sorry for the delay. First of all how's anenome? In answer to your question yes the tenicles will do that sometimes they will stay out during the nite for a short period. My next question is what type of fish do you have in your tank? Hope all is well!

It is well... I gave it to someone because I think it was just not happy in my tank at the moment. I had 2 Ocellaris Clownfish in there with it with some a tree coral.

Bummer at least he's fine! If you have two clowns I would give them both a nenomes they will host them for feeding as well as companionship and they are realley cool to watch them all grow together!
