General Temperature?

I was under the impression that 75 degrees f. but recently ive read that 82-86 degrees f. is actually much healthier. In your opinion which is best. Right now i have it at about 79.4 degrees f.

I try to keep mine right around 80-82. It gets a little over that in the summer and a little under in the winter, but small seasonal swings don't concern me.

Run fans on top and your temp should be under control. It works with me. The room temp is 86 and my fish temp is 76.

Aquarium : 75-82
Wild : 80-86

I've read that it's best to keep it around 80 degrees because more oxygen is used when the temperature is high so lets say your power is out, it would be safer for the fish. Don't really know if it's right or not

Good morning. Am I correct in assuming that "salt" tanks need warmer temperatures than "freshwater" tanks?
