Change of plan

Well, after much deliberating and reading and agonising over what to do with my new marine tank I have finally decided to go down the "fish-only" route. I was desperate to have a reef tank but after looking at the prices of equipment such as lighting and filtration for corals etc I have no choice but to go down the fish route. I have got my live rock and still buying more and I'm still going to get a protein skimmer but I dont have the money to get an RO unit and the massive intense lighting required by corals and more specialist plants.
I am quite greatful for finally coming to this conclusion and I think it is a wise one...going down the fish only route means I have time to save up for all the equipment and more time to learn about the care of corals. It also means i can get some reallly realllly pretty fishies and not worry about them eating my expensive marine plants!! hehe

Does anyone have any fish they would recommend as good marine community fish?
Thanks! Ursey x

Re: Change of plan

Excellent - thanks! I do really like cardinals - especially the bangaai cardinals! So I plan on getting a few of them, some green chromis, a regal tang or a yellow tang and a pair of clowns and a goby or else a jawfish - just depends what's available! If I can find one I'm desperate for a valentini puffer too - I love them!

Re: Change of plan

Hmm maybe will leave the tang out then..
I got a valentini puffer this xmas whcih is FAB - he's SO good with the damsels and the hermit crabs - he doesn't bully them at all. He just swims merrily around in his own little world
