Supplements (dosage?)

Firstly how often should you dose the following supplements
(supplements based on what I think should be given to the following; clown fish, tangs, anemone, soft corals, snails, crabs, clam and live rock)

Purple up
Carbonate
buffer
Strontium
magnesium
Trace
iodine

Should you dose this frequently regardless to tests, or only dose according to test results? Any other supplements which are good to put in your tank on a regular basis?

Thanks

Purple Up - for accelerating coraline algae production. I used to add this a few times a week but now have slowed down to about once a week.

Carbonate - I think this is part of the calcium additive that I use. I'll check when I get home from work.

Buffer - I add based on what my pH is. I'll figure it out what levels I need soon enough.

The rest - I add one cap each for my 65 gallon tank once a week. The iodine is good for the shrimp. The rest is good for the corals. I was also told by my LFS not to add calcium and strontium on the same day as they basically cancel each other out.

Hope this helps. I'm still trying to figure some of this stuff out myself.

I would suggest on getting a test kit for available supplements like calcium to see if you are adding too much, which high levels of calcium can lead to an algea outbreak as I understand, you should do the same for iodine.

Good luck!!!
