My Ph is lowering

What can I do to stop my pH from lowering? It has never happened to me before but It is just below 8.0 and it used to be around 8.2. I am afraid that it might lower to much. Any ideas on why this is happening? Is just something that will go away or is there a problem. It hasnt risen and I have no idea why. It has never lowered. Sometimes it rises then I clean the tank but its lowering! I need help. I just dont know what to do please before it gets worse or if this isnt so much to worry about just tell me.

What are all of the other readings for your tank? How old is the tank? When i the last time you did a water change? 8.0 is ok no bad, so dont panic yet. Have you done anything with the tank recently? Added anything new?

specific gravity: 1.023
nitrite - 0
nitrate - about 2.5 or 0
ammonia - below .25 or 0
Tank age: ? I have had it for 3 years but bought it used
I cleaned the algea from the the glass. I added some water to the tank but not alot(I stopped adding when ph went down) it was only a cup. I think that could be it but it has never happened I added the same amount I always do when the water level goes down. Should I stop adding water for a while?

How big is the tank? Do you have a test kit for alkilinity and calcium?

Here is an article about low Ph. see if that helps.
