Great deal from my LFS
I stopped by an LFS today and found they had received a large number of Mushrooms and Tree Corals from a nearby person. "Not from town". I decided to pick up a 3 inch tall Tree. They looked nice and I thought, "Why not". Paid $15 for it. Meh I thought, not bad. I just looked it up on http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/p...cfm?pCatId=652 and a 2-3 inch tree coral is $45. Looks like I got a pretty good deal. Tiny little rock though, more like two small shells. Oh well, I saved 30 bucks.

They have a bunch of it and a ton of Mushrooms. They said someone was cleaning out their tank and brought in the pieces that fell off. The green one is the second free of the same. It's a striped green mushroom. Had one hiding under a red mushroom. Yay for free stuff.

Button Polyps alright. Look very similar to mine except mine have longer tentacles. I believe Button Polyp is a pretty genericly used word to describe alot of Zoanthids. lol

Wow, I just looked up my Lavender Mushroom (a.k.a. Green Hairy Mushroom) that I got awhile ago from the same store. She never charged me for it. She said the guy never gave her a price for it so I could have it. I just found them on TheMarineCenter.com and for the same size piece it would have cost me $49. $35 at LiveAquaria.com. The savings just keep coming and I didn't even know. lol It's the same story for the Red Mushroom. So, to date I have paid $15 for 2 Green striped red Mushrooms, 1 Red Mushroom, 1 Lavender Mushroom, and 1 Kenya Tree. I do go to this store often and have been a help to the owner on several occasions so I think it's her way of saying Thank You. While it's not the best store by any means, she has an open ear and takes any advice people give her. She's been running a pet store for 20 years but she has very little Saltwater knowledge a side from what fish is what. She's not to bad in that category.

I recently got the nano mushroom 7 pack from liveaquaria.com and they sent me some shrooms that I think if bought separately would cost way more than the package deal. They did a good job too of mixing up the colors. I'll have pics up soon.

Ok, just posted some photos of the frags I got from the Liveaquaria. All but one showed up in great shape. The one had come off the rock it was attached to, but I easily lodged it in between two pieces of the rockwork in the tank. I posted the photos in my mushroom album in the gallery. Click the photo below to check them out. Also, keep in mind that the photos don't do these shrooms justice. They are more vibrant in person. At night the green shrooms are sooo cool looking under the blue moonlights. I think my fav has to be the purple, pink and lime green ricordia floridea. Unlike anything I've ever seen at night under the blue moon lights.
