Fish Fry

I have black stuff growing on my glass and a little bit on my gravel and sometimes on my fake plants. What can i do to get rid of it? When i vacume the rocks it goes away for like a week and then comes back.

It's probably algae. You can get algae eaters to control them.

Sounds like slime algae. I had the problem in my saltwater tank, only thing is, I'm not sure if it happens in freshwater. If it is slime algae, you should get a fish that eats algae or try moving snails onto the algae.

By the way, can you sortof peel it off the glass and rocks? If you can its definetly slime algae. If you can't get any fish or snails to eat it then just keep cleaning it and check phosphate levels. If phosphates are realy high then do waterchanges.
