I have ten gallon tanks, and one bag of tahitian moon black sand. I don't know which tank to put it in!

Here are the tanks:

Green spotted puffer tank

Cardinal tetras and african dwarf frog tank.

Mainly- would the green spotted puffers or the dwarf frogs like the sand best? at all?
Or- are there freshwater fish that totally love sand that I might consider in the future?

I would put it in the ADF's tank. I think he would like to dig around in it and it would be easier for him to eat because nothing would fall in the gravel. I have sand in a ten gallon tank (its regular run of the mill sand, medium darkness) and I like it, it is easy to clean and it looks really natural. But if you think it would look better in the other tank then you could do that too, its mainly personal preference. Brianna

Bumble bee gobies are very cool. Though they're considered semi-agressive, they should do well with live bearers, tetras, barbs, gouramis, rainbowfish, rasboras, danios and cory cats...Plus they stay very small...They do prefer brackish water, but should be OK in fresh water. In fact I've read that freshwater will promote breeding...They like to bore into the substrate and like rocks, roots and plants to nest beneath.

I have worried that the african frogs would eat some of the sand and it would be bad for them...and I hear puffers dig around in sand too.
I wonder if gobies would like my molly tank...not that I have ever seen bimblebee gobies here in town (and I have been looking)

Corydoras and kuhli loaches love sand substrate.

i'd be worried about the frog eating sand as well.

i used to have a puffer in sand substrate, and it was much easier to maintain. the puffer didnt' have any issues with a sand substrate either, so i'd go with the puffer tank

I used some of the sand for the puffers and it is working just fine :-)

arent bumble bee gobies venomous and their sting is equal to that of a bee or wasp?? or am i wrong....
