I'm not getting the tank for a long time, maybe even a couple years from now.... im just planning ahead. lol.

lol, well that does give you time to plan every detail of the tank, maybe even get the supplies, etc over time so it doesn't hurt as much financially when you do get the tank.

well see there is the good part because the tank would be coming from my dad's friend. He has the 150 Gallon and wants to get rid of it so he can intall a fireplace where the fish tank is. So when all his fish die he said he would give me the tank and the supplies and everything! He spent over $3500 on just the set up so i hope it is good equipment!!!!! the problem is.... he has a pleco in there... i heard plecos can live a long time. my dad suggested we dress like ninjas, sneak into his house and load the tank with finquel and ms222 or clove oil and vodka lol just kidding. But yea so It could take awhile before I have the tank

I like 1 but instead of one big school of 50 neons. How about 10-15 neons and 4 more schools of 10 of four different types of fish. And live plants.

NA!! Forget the fresh and brackish water! What you need is a saltwater community with some coral and these fish!

That's totally what I'd do too! There are so many compatible schooling fish that you never really see together in schools because everyone with tanks big enough to do it seems to use them for big fish!

Although I'm sure whatever gets done will look just fantastic.
