Im writing this thread as a warning from an experience I had last week, which continues and ends today...another member and I learned a hard lesson ....im not looking to get sympathy by any means as I know the support from members here is just amazing!! but I want others to learn from our terrible mistakes....(the other member was amazing and went on my suggestions so she is faultless by all means!!)
Ive shipped fish for some time now, and had almost no fatalities....ive taken 2 chances in all the years of shipping, and tried priority mail with tracking confirmation....I did this as the weather has been great, and ive received fish priority mail before with great success..as well as I know many members have shipped priority 2-3 day shipping without issues..........but NEVER again will I take the risk on any of my babies lives..(which is what I certainly did!) all shipping with my fish will always go express overnight now...I give my babies away but will not allow them to be shipped priority anymore....
I mailed my roy priority last week and he did not make it !! it was a 2 day delivery but it was just too much for him....

ive had the guilt and I know it wasnt intentional, but at the same time, I should have known better!!
I had some babies shipped to me last thurs morning, priority with tracking,(were suppose to be here sat) and they got here today..monday ...no mail on sunday, so Im sure you are following where im going with this......the temps were down in the low 30's yesterday and this morning...although me and another member did a ton of fin prayers all weekend, I did loose 2 abn's and maybe one marbled con...(hes still fighting!!) BUT I do have 4 abn's and 2 marbled cons that are alive and well for now!!!!

I know this is a long post, and I know I have the support of some, and that is appreciated but please, learn from my lesson.... again ill continue to give my babies away free, but the shipping methods are going to change....I learned the hard way and ill forever have that guilt but we all seem to learn some things the hardway with fish keeping....no matter how long you have kept/bred/raised fish, never stop learning!!! thanks for reading if you made it through the end!!!!!! you know some of us women can go on and on forever
