I want something like this!

http://www.aquabid.com/cgi-bin/aucti...msm&1246276863

It's not like I'm about to get one or anything, but seeing ads like this got me curious, and I have a few questions:

Does anyone know what the pricing on this type of setup would be?

Does anyone know of companies that make these things?

How exactly does a commercial fish system work? I know every tank is filtered through the same filter, but is there some type of automatic water changer or something? Can someone give me a detailed explanation on how it works?

I'd love to have something like this built into a wall and have all of my fishies in the same spot!

Marineland makes these commercial setups. I'm not sure what other companies do. The cost would be quite prohibitive... in the thousands I'm sure. My guess on the central filtration system is that the tanks are plumbed together from a large sump, although I've never seen one behind the scenes.

I saw that add this morning...I think it is a great deal, espcially for betta Breeders and other small fish.

I have it too... its more contagious than reg MTS. I blame the cichlids and my 3 year old son for saying I want to take fishy home everytime we go to the fish store... he got me addicted.

I think this really "started" for me when we had our tank when I was a kid. I have had one really ever since then although just one tank was long, long ago. I have to agree with you on the cichlids they put me over the edge. Don't get me wrong I still have my livebearers and still love them but there is just something about those cichlids that will make you start a new tank everytime you get a chance!!!
