Tony

I have a problem with a growth in the tank that resembles cotton but it is sticky, it clings to everything.
I have cleaned the plants, filters, once I scrubbed everything and it keeps coming back.
Can someone help me here, what is this stuff? how to get rid of it.
All fish are O.K. whatever this is is not harming hem, but makes the tank looks like a ghost town.
Thanks.

It kind of sounds like some type of algae almost...I don't really know what to say, but I could probably help you more if you posted some pics.

Might be mold from uneaten food. I had the same problem. The guy at my LFS had me switch from flakes to hikari micro pellets, it seemed to help a lot. I'd clean the plants and do a vacuuming and if you're using flakes don't feed as much or switch to the pellets like I did. My fish love those hikari pellets

I would say it's white algae. It will eventually go away on it's own. Even if you scrape it off it will probably return for a while.
