I have been doing research concerning my betta, Sully..and I have dosed last week with epsom salt, and Im confused with other articles referring to aquarium salt. Are they different, and which is better? thank you...

They are quite different. Aquarium salt is sodium chloride, epsom salt is magnesium sulfate.

Which of the salts is "better" likely depends on what you're trying to treat, much like asking which is better between Excedrin and Pepto-Bismol.

.. I know what epsom salt is because I used it, what I didn't know was what aquarium salt was..thanks for clearing up what aquarium salt is..
..I guess if you weren't aware of my thread on my betta Sully, asking what is "better" wouldn't be a sensible question. So the your sarcasm about "excedrin and pepto-bismol wouldn't have been necessary. Next time I'll ask a question with all the facts...

I wasn't intending to be all that sarcastic, and I'm sorry if you took it as such. I honestly have no clue what you're trying to treat, which makes suggesting an alternative difficult when both options have valid uses.
