This is a picture of a tank on Craigslist that I e-mailed the seller about asking for the dimensions, but I haven't received a reply yet. What size do you estimate that it is? I noticed that it was near a doorway, so I tried to get some scale from that. When I entered my estimated dimensions in the aquarium calculator, it said about 89 gallons. What do you think just by looking at it?

I was just looking at a picture of Shaina's 90g tank, and the shape & scale of it does resemble this one. Could it be possible that I'm only 1 gallon off in my guess?

I'm surprised they didn't give that info in their ad.
How much are they asking for it?

Didn't say that either - I'm trying to get some more info. I'm thinking that maybe they just want to see what kind of offers they get, but I'm not about to offer on a tank I don't know the size of. What they did say is that is comes with the filters and stand and is "very large", but to someone who is used to, say, goldfish bowls, a 55g could be called "very large", and I'm really looking for something closer to 100g.

Anyone else have an estimate?

It looks like a 50 tall tank. I have one but without the wood cabinet and hood.

Thanks navuscuba - what are the dimensions of a 50 tall, do you know?

If it's 4 feet it would be a 90 or a 110. I'ts too tall to be a 75. I'm looking at the doors on the front of the stand and thinking they look wide compared to the total width of the stand. On my 75 the space on either side of each door is wider than the doors themselves. It might be a 37 gallon. Either way it's really nice with the wood around the tank.

I'd take a list of common tank measurements and a tape measure with you when you go look at it just to be sure. I bought a 90 gallon on ebay and didn't figure out till I got it set up that it was actually a 75 gallon. The guy was giving me the right dimensions but the wrong gallons. Not a huge deal though.

I don't even know if I'm going to look at it - it all depends on if the other person I contacted about a 100g contacts me back and what the dimensions on this are.

Edit: I think it's larger than 37 gallons, because it appears that it would be more than a little too long to fit through the doorway.

Thanks for the help everyone. I still haven't heard back from the seller, but I'm pretty sure it's a 90g, in which case I'm REALLY hoping I hear back from the seller!
