ottos in 55 gal tank

I have a 55 gal. tank with several plants, 2 bala sharks 5 barbs and 2 blue gromi thinking about adding ottos to help control alge, tank was set up in march 2006 would this be the best way to go?

Bala sharks can grow to 13 inches. They will start eating smaller fish. They are also excellent jumpers. Blue Gouramis may be aggressive with tankmates, especially with other males. Bala sharks may eat otos when they reach their full size.
