it could be that the current from the filter is too strong. what kind of set up do you have them in? do you have water parameters?

they are in a breeder box in my 55g and there are 5 of them for now... they are on the other side of the tank so i dont think it could be the current.i dont know what fish they came from because none of my fish looked pregnant but they are yellow so i think they are swordtail. here are my water parameters:

pH- 7.6
nitrate- from 0-5
nitrite-0
ammonia-0

do you think it could be swim bladder?

it could be swim bladder but more likely they're just not quite strong enough to handle the current from a 55, especially if you have a HOB

If they are in trap on top of the tank, shutt off the light and see.

idk why but i have a dwarf gourami and use to have a platy that all they would do is swim by the heater or stay in this little spot right between the heater and the wall of the tank sleep there and everything i always thought there was something wrong with them and they where going to die but my dwarf gourami is still living and i think i saw him doing it last night is that the same thing your fish did??

no but sometimes my smaller female molly hides there because my larger one picks on her.
