Equipment for a 75G
And here, I give you the plan of equipment, substrate, and plants to be used in the 75G tank. Here, I also ask of you to confirm whether it's a sufficient setup and whether it will take good care of my plants as well as fish. Similarly to the other topic, I'll ask on Plant Geek what they think too.
Filtration: Rena Filstar XP3 canister filter, or Eheim 2026 or 2028 canister filter
Heating: Two 150W submersible heaters (one on each side of the tank - total of 300W)
Airpump: None, as it will quickly remove from water CO2 needed for plants (instead, possibly just a submerged powerhead for good water circulation)
Lighting: 48" Current USA (Satellite) compact fluorescent fixture that has 2 x 65W (total of 130W, which is ~ 1.7 wpg in a 75G tank)
Substrate: Eco-Complete or Fluorite (2.5 - 3" deep)
Other Equipment: glass top to prevent water evaporation and to prevent fish from jumping out
Plants: Low- to medium- light plants
* No CO2 injections, and fertilizers added only when plants start to deteriorate
What do you think?
