Hi everyone, I just figured I would let you know what I decided to do with my existing tank since all of you have answered my questions about changing the setup. a new tank will probably come in the future (christmas!) after I get this setup straightened out. here are my finalized plans for my 27 gallon hexagon tank:

filtration
-HOB power filter
-lee's economy box filter

aeration
-airstone
-bubles from lee's economy box filter
-bubbles from HOB filter
- I decided t buy elite silicone tubing since the regular stuff eventually cracks

heating
-petco heater
-visi therm stealth heater

decorations/etc.

-neon estes spectra stone gravel
-plastic plants
-decorations with hiding spots for ghost shrimp


and of course, the fishies!

-4 fancy tail guppies (M & FM)
-1 gold gourami (gender is unsure)
-4 red wag platys (M & FM)
-4 ghost shrimp (for clean up)
-2 mollies? but I don't think there'll be room!

I don't belive I am over stocked, am I? I will be picking up equipment and decoartions this weekend so please infrom me tonight if I need to make changes to this list. and the fish will come gradually after the tank cycles for a month. thank you all !

I'll make sure I post some once it is complete and the fish are in their newly revamped home, like I posted above it may be a month to a month and a half till it is cycled and completely stocked. I can't wait either, right now the plecos are still in it and they have made it filthy so I kind of am giving them up tomorrow, but they will be living better lives in a bigger tank. thanks Isis!

oh, and what do you guys think of the gravel color choice, that's what I used to have in a tank a long time ago. I just am kind of tired of the natural brown, and I can see the ghost shrimp better on the neon gravel to so is it a mistake?

I just replaced my gravel with brown pebbles... it's all about the look and if you can see your babies ... I tend to try out different looks until I'm happy (women hey! lol)

yeah I know I am constantly moving things in the tank around, I can never get it exactly how I want it! case settled, I like the neon so I will use that! thanks again!
