I know we have to be really careful about what we put in the aquariums with our fishy friends. I'm wanting to do an egyptian theme for my 30 gal, and there aren't many actual aquarium decorations around that fit that theme, but there are quite a few decorations for reptile tanks at petsmart. Would those be okay to put in with the fish, or would it still be risky?

My 30 gallon used to have an Egyptian theme, it looked really nice! I actually found a bunch of good decorations at Petco, including a big Sphinx, some pillars with heiroglyphs, and statues of a few gods and goddesses. I threw them out when I restarted my tank, though, since they were in pretty bad shape. I'd love to see pictures of your tank when it's decorated!

I have also looked at the decorations in the reptile section at Petsmart and really liked the variety of items there. But on the label it always read "not for aquairum use" tho.. So I have always wondered about this myself.
