Low kH levels

Hi, I have a 60 litre tank currently with 7 tetras and 5 guppies, have a huge snail problem, which I'd like to rectify, however the snail treatment I have requires a kH of greater than 50ppm. At the moment my tank is only around 10-20ppm. What's the best way to get the hardness raised to around 80ppm? Do I need to do a full water change? Or can just do a 50% water change - adding some water conditioner? I've been using bottled water as our tap water is part bore water which has too much salinity and has been killing off fish from other aquariums in the area.

Personally I wouldnt use the snail treatment... not because they dont work but because dead snails will cause your ammonia to spike and pollute your tank VERY rapidly... the best way to get rid of the snails is by setting a small piece of lettuce (weighted down) on the bottom of the tank overnight, the snails will all congregate there and start eating the lettuce... then you just lift out the lettuce and pitch it snails and all, repeat this a few times and you will probably get most if not all of the "adults"... secondly look for any any egg blobs (clear blobs with white specks in them) attached to anything in your tank, wipe them off or do whatever you have to so they are dead or they will hatch and make hundreds more

I also read somewhere that you place a leaf of lettuce(just as clinton)suggested into a clear glass jar overnight. Next morning toss everything out and repeat again the next night til the snails are gone.
