I posted a few weeks ago that the Collective (my 80g community tank) was suffering setback after setback. My barbs had been getting themselves caught in the slate, I lost a couple of glassfish, and I was just getting frustrated.
Well, things are going better. I have introduced four more glassfish and, true to the tank's form, everyone has schooled together. At first, the four glassfish stayed in one school and the barb and the last "old" glassfish stayed in another school. The barb zipped around the tank in a panic for most of its days, surrounded by strangers. Now (about a week after glassfish introduction), however, all six fish swim around the tank together. One of Six (the barb) is doing just fine, and has yet to get himself caught in the slate.
Once I get some
driftwood and moss into the tank, I'll be putting some neons (probably a mix of regular and black) in. I will also eventually be getting shrimp. Still not sure what will be going in the "
refugium" (a satellite tank planted with some Dracaena, or lucky bamboo), but whatever it is will have to be small, and likely an invertebrate, since it's such a small area.
