Switching Tanks

I'm still not sure what to do with my bigger tank. I'd like in fact for someone to tell me if they've ever changed their fish to a larger tank, and how to best do it without much trauma. My three current fish are very happy, I think, in their little tank. (20 gal btw)

Basically what I sort of want is an interesting varied community tank, but I don't want to upset my betta too much. I think the corydoras would probably manage to adapt okay, especially since I was thinking of getting a couple more of them.

Make sure your new tank is cycled before you throw anyone in there, then after that I just net 'em and toss 'em in there.*They may not eat for a few days, but soon they'll realize that they aren't in a hostile environment and they'll warm to your new tank. I think the general rule is to introduce fish in increasing degrees of aggressiveness. Peaceful community fish first, then on up.

yep sounds good to me OR..... you could leave them in that tank and get all new inhabitants for the new 20G :lol:
